MARIELOU is a Brussels-based DJ with Congolese roots. What began in 2018 as a love for music quickly grew into a passion for African electronic dance music. Her sets blend amapiano, gqom, afrohouse, afrotech and 3-step with hard drum and bass-driven electronic sounds.
Her career has taken her to major festivals and venues, i.e. WeCanDance, Les Ardentes, Couleur Café, Ancienne Belgique, where she opened for Omah Lay, and more. She is an artist in residence at Het Depot as well.
Known for her track selection and clean mixing, MARIELOU reads the crowd effortlessly and building a strong connection on the dancefloor, creating sets that keep people moving while introducing them to new sounds.
